The Ask: Update Hero Banner
This project will focus on the hero banner. Since launching, we’ve learned several things about the hero banner that imply the need for changes:
• The current design of the hero banner is self-limiting in that we can only provide a single status message at any one time, even if multiple statuses are applicable.
• Depending on the device used to access the native app, the hero banner can totally dominate visible real estate in the device viewport. Some customers have expressed confusion in app reviews, not realizing there’s more to the screen than the hero banner.
Assumptions-Since this project was only 5 days long we needed to design within some assumptions that we could not validate due to a lack of time. Our assumptions that we operated under were made by education via secondary research and interviews about user’s experiences, we made the following assumptions:
1. Most users pay through the mobile app
2. Users are more likely to go to the app when they get notifications
3. When users have the app installed they will more likely use the app then go to the website
4. The users who do not have the app will more likely go to the website
Research and Insights were conducted and synthesized through Survey, Interviews, A/B testing, Iterations on Mock-Ups, Competitive Analysis, Secondary Research.
